Off-Chance Productions (that brought you last year's ass-slapping comedy Anatomy of a Slap) is currently looking for crew for our new web series scheduled to shoot for three weekends in May 2009: The Real Girl's Guide to Everything Else. We will be hiring either with a per-weekend-stipend or deferred compensation, so please be okay with both, or open to negotiation. This project has marketing in place for network pitches as well as a targeted festival run.

When a journalist is nearly dropped by her agent because her work is too smart, political, lesbian and feminist…she goes undercover as a glitter-wearing, shoe-obsessed, Cosmo-drinking straight girl and attempts to write the next "Chick-Lit" best seller in order to finance her dream project about Afghan women's struggle for civil rights.

The creative crayz folks at machine need some help for their LACMA Show

 We are looking for the ultimate black/speed/grind/doom metal guitarist to perform 1 minute of speed metal, every hour on the hour, beneath a remotely located replica of a gothic arch during Machine Project’s show at LACMA on November 15th. Pays $100 for the day. Must be able to play riffs along the lines of Cradle of Filth, Gorgoroth, Children of Bodom, Celtic Frost, Slayer, Napalm Death. Must be able to play beyond fast. Must be able to sound insane. Must have own guitar and amp.

Stop imagining being Kit and BE Kit. (Boys can audition as well..) Open casting calls at American Girl Place retail stores in Los Angeles (May 7), Chicago (May 8) and New York (May 14) will seek "young aspiring actresses, ages 8-12," to take on roles in "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery" the first theatrical adaptation of an American Girl story, it was announced today by Bob Berney, president of Picturehouse, and Colin Callender, president, HBO Films. Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin ("Little Miss Sunshine") will star as Kit Kittredge in the film. Further information on the casting calls, along with applications and release forms, can be found at American Girl's website, www.americangirl.com The film, which begins shooting this summer, will be released by Picturehouse on July 2, 2008.

Has there ever been a bigger giver than Oprah? "Open calls for Oprah Winfrey's The Big Give (USA) to find America's biggest philanthropist. Harpo Productions are looking for people who will stop at nothing to do the right thing. Interested applicants should be 21 years or older, a legal U.S. resident, and be willing to participate in the taping of a primetime series in the spring of 2007 over eight weeks. Audition tapes will not be returned and may be viewed worldwide on television to promote the series. The scheduled auditions will be held in Los Angeles on February 22 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotels & Suites; in Nashville on February 26 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel; in Chicago on March 2 at Harpo Studios; and in New York on March 7 at The Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom. All auditions begin at 9a sharp.
