Most folks in and outside LA know that LALA Land is the Home of the Homeless. Thousands alone call dowtown LA home where a ton of shows and movies are filmed. Peggy Archer, independent filmmaker and pro Grip, has a funny post about negotiating a giant cart of cables through Transient's Lawns.

Saying "Gotta pay the bills" and homeless guy replying "but like that", is EXACTLY why he's homeless!! Sometimes, I have no compassion for people who don't even care to try to make a life for themself. I understand there's a lot of homeless people with mental problems and that's why they're where they are, but there's also quite a few who just don't want to work for anything.

It is very hard to have sympathy for a sarcastic transient I admit but I suppose he or she feels that sidewalk is their own little piece of real estate. I say we make those that show none of the usuall ailements pay a small tax.
