-Moriarty reviews David Lynch's Inland Empire. He really liked it but warns "it's not for the casual viewer."
- Paul of Self-Reliant Filmmaking points us to a worthy site for filmmakers: "A few weeks ago, in an effort to show my students some of the more interesting film and video work being created for the web I discovered Have Money Will Vlog. Its an ingenious site that helps media artists raise funds to produce their web-distributed videos and films. The project budgets are in the $2000 - $3000 range, and the donations are usually small E$10, $20, and so on. Of course, that money adds up when you consider all the people online." And as a bonus for filmmakers he modified Apple Template StoryBoards in 1.78: 1 and 1.33:1. Thanks Paul!
- Sujewa has come up with his next idea for a film project: A war film with supernatural aspects set in Sri Lanka. How cool is that?
- Finally, Manohla Dargis reccomends the film Climates. "...this film paints a haunting portrait of existential solitude, one in which the images speak louder and often more forcefully than do any of the words. Mr. Ceylan doesnft write speeches or flatter the audience by offering us more information than he gives his character. His scenes play out to the natural rhythms of life, their meaning often articulated in silences, digressions and awkward laughter..."
