Hitting On 3 Cylinders
2006-Sep-28 by Laughcalvin
Advice randomly thrown out: Although LA has argueably 2 seasons (hot and less hot) do not go out in a t-shirt at 3:30 am and argue with a derelict about taxi drivers peddleing booze out of their trunks or where the cheapest speak-easy is in Hollywood. Don't do it. If you do, put on a light sweater or warm-up jacket. To that end, I still feel like hell so here are some morning clips in no paticular order:

- The Guardian Interview: Emilio Estevez, director of "Bobby" "I believe it was one of the most important events of the 20th century," Estevez says. "I believe we went into a free fall after that. - Our chum Sujewa Ekanayake reviews Jon Moritsugu's latest project Fame Whore:
"At 70 minutes, Fame Whore tells its 3 stories rather quickly, but it does not seem rushed. Also, the film is a model for how a lot can be done with little: I believe only 3 interior locations were used during the whole movie. But the careful use of the interior locations along with the good use of exterior locations has allowed the filmmakers to create a work that is not too limited by its low budget & the accompanying restrictions on using a lot of locations."
