OK so it's not exactly like when ER and Chicago Hope were pitted against each other, but this is still pretty big stuff. Two films depicting what is each being touted as "the most notorious unsolved mystery in California" will practically go head-to-head.

Universal's Black Dahlia and Focus Features' Hollywoodland are set for release one week apart. Who will emerge victorious? My money's on Black Dahlia. It has Scarlett and Hollywoodland has Ben- enough said eh. Still, both have piqued our attention here at HIT. Nothing like historic scandal in the capital of scandal. Oh Hollywood, we love ye.
