So I went with my gal and my buddy Chung to the Reds @ Dodgers game last evening (my hometown Reds are in hot pursuit of a wild card while L.A. tries to fend off a host of others in the oh so mediocre National League West) and up on the jumbotron we see Charlie Sheen and Pete Rose sitting together.

Charlie Sheen and Charlie Hustle- what a pair! The mind starts rolling. What are these two doing together? Whatever could they have in common? Could it be... gambling, strippers, and cocaine? Was Pete consoling Charlie over his recent breakup? Was Charlie consoling Pete over his last Hall of Fame rejection?

These are two rough and tumble guys. What dude wouldn't wanna hang with them?

(As a Reds fan I must aver that although I believe Rose is totally guilty of betting on baseball, there's no way he should be denied entrance in to the Hall. I mean, so he bet on an outcome in his chosen profession- big f***in deal! Who among you hasn't?

"Hey, do you think Dr. Snodgrass will save that patient?" asks Dr. Beals.

"I've got 100 clams that says he doesn't." replies Nurse Stein.

-So I made that little exchange up. But I'm sure it's happened millions of times in various workplaces. Allright enough digression.)

Anyway- I'm sure the boys enjoyed each other's company. You should've seen the look on Sheen's face when they showed him up there with one of baseball's most infamous characters. Then again, Pete had a very similar expression.
