Red Hot Chili Peppers

With the release the Chili Peppers new album," Stadium Arcadium", I now have a reason to go to Best Buy again. I hadn't realized it but it has been four years since their last album was released. My how time flies. Did you know that when the band first formed their name was, Tony Flow & the Miraculous Majestic Masters of Mayhem? I wonder if they would have had the same success if they had kept that name. You can read more about the Chili Peppers in a Biography at MTV.com. Even though you cant see videos on MTV anymore, at least you can still read about the musicians that make them.

would they still have had same success??? my guess is no. although its seems silly to think that a name can alter such things, i do believe that if they would of had such an outlandish one, they would not have been taken as seriously.
i'm not getting into their latest as much, it sounds rehashed.

I haven\'t purchased the CD yet but I like the fact that they sound the same as they did 4 years ago. It was that sound and look that made them so popular. It could be worse, they could have pulled a Guns and Roses type comeback. DB

Man- the Chili Peppers have been turning out that same rap/punk/rock fusion thing for years. While it was fun and inventive to begin with, they really haven't grown that much. I can't believe they continue to sell so well- Karl Rove must be behind their marketing machine.

KY, another way to put, "the same rap/punk/rock fusion," is consistency. There have been alot of musicians that have tried to re-invent themselves and it didn't work. I think their videos havn't changed much but its the music you listen to on your cd.
