The Unreliable Narrator

Perusing a well-written piece on the 'unreliable narrator' in the movie Fight Club (in which David Church frames it as "a crises in masculinity:) I thought about films with unreliable narrators- besides Fight Club and Lost Highway. I could name some foreign titles but not many Hollywood or American films. Any come to mind? And does it work as a screenplay device when the audience finds out the voice that they began the film trusting, might be confused, dishonest, or downright psychotic?
