Grab-Bag Thursday

2006-Jun-8 by Laughcalvin

Lots of stuff going on today. I am putting the finishing touches on my screenplay "Lightning Bugs" (more about that later) so forgive us if we are a bit willy-nilly.

- The La Filmfest has some really cool events and people giving seminars, chats,  etc., so if you are in town, grab some tixs, and send us reports of films and star grazings.

-Louis J. Giovino  would like to tell you about the new film, SEPTEMBER 12TH (last screening at the Anthology Film Archives and Pioneer Theater, NY).   (Click for trailer: http://www.september12th.com/trailer.htm

"The film is one of the first narrative dramas to deal directly with 9/11. It just won Best Feature at the Longbaugh Film Festival in Portland, OR as well as at the 2005 Long Island Film Festival (Audience and Jury).  The powerful story involves 2 family members of a victim of 9/11 and how they are dealing with the loss of their loved one three years later.  It brings up issues surrounding the tragedy that have not been dealt with in any recent dramas. "

Review and Interview coming from us soon  so check out the trailer.
