What Does it All Mean?

Some days, with nary a drink in sight, you have to wonder why you, me, we, try to make art, entertainment, films. Is it for the attention? Meeting people? Piles of money? Hmmm..Why do you, dear Reader- I do mean dear Reader in the singular here- do it? Let us know by posting a comment below. And Viewer, Reader- in short Consumer- why do you watch it?

Kinda of a stu...well, maybe not. I don't make art or entertainment or whatever you call it, I just watch it. Mostly because I am bored or anxious and want to get my mind off of things that bother me. The more stupid and brainless flick the better. Hollywood fills the bill nicely

I see your point, and I have to admit I want something mindless now and again as well. But vital, engaging films can be entertaining if you just give them a chance. It can be like a release from your worry and cares, much better than standard H'wood fare, which after you finish it, like porn, leaves you feeling empty and more anxious. dunno, just sayin.

I like to make/work on movies cause normally there's purtty ladies to look at. Also, it's a sweet diversion from the drudgery of 21st century living.

Most artist want to stand out from the crowd. Be it fine art, music, dance or film ,we all want to be seen as someone, or our work as something different. Would Andy's painting of Marilyn been as interesting had she not had Disney tits? A true "artist" is not concerned with fame nor fortune and nobody will ever know just how talented they are until the next of kin start digging out the stuff way in the back of the attic or deep in the back of the closet and come across a writing or a painting and they look at each other and say, I never knew he was that skrewed up."

There is a long list of artists who die in obscurity and then become famous later. Forget that! I want all the fame, money, sex, and power I could get from art now!!!! jesus, i have to stop drinking malt liquor in the morning...
