Jean-Claude Brisseau, 61, acclaimed French film director has been found guilty of sexually harassing two actors, after he required them to masturbate as part of their screen test. The fact that he masturbated as well during these auditions and subsequently did not employ the actors, led to a 1-year prison sentence and steep fines.

"The audition tapes are a key part of my work, because sexual pleasure is an increasingly important part of my films...My idea of cinema is of using sexual feelings in the same way that Hitchcock used fear in his films."

I wonder if an actual couch was used during the audtion..?
