Judd Apatow is an excellent writer/director and Steve Carell is an excellent writer/performer respectively, but together they are SUPERFLY writers. Check out the script to the flick, study the comic timing, the spareness. This is one reason they collect big paychecks.

But I'd just like to point out that this is one of the best movie posters I can remember in recent years. The color, Carrell's sheen, and expression- I laughed when I saw it. It may have helped sell a lot of tickets. Damn that marketing's important!

If i'm being honest 40 yov dissapointed me a little. Not that it wasn't a good film, it just didn't pack the punch I thought it could have. I was expecting to walk out of the theater with my side hurting from laughter. Wedding Crashers on the other hand turned out to be better than I anticipated.
