A Scanner Darkly

Let's keep it rolling, the lit-movie thing. The trialer for Phillip K. Dick's A Scanner Darkly is up and boy, is it cool. Talk about a mind-bending writer, Dick went from early sci-fi pulp to alternate realities inside the human brain. I liked his writing best when he injected himself (s) and his often troubled thoughts into his stories. Richard Linklater adapts and directs. (via boingboing)

Are you talking about his late in career book "Vitalis?" That was a wild book! You can see him breaking down right on the page. maybe not a good movie, however.

Martin,
Yea, that was his best book in my opinion. veyr, very weird. I read a bio on him and he was going through some dark times during the writing of it. On top of possible complications of schizophrenia.
