Tammy Caplan Interview
2005-Feb-19 by Laughcalvin
How did the short project "Fartman: Caught in a Tight Ass" come about?
Joe heard about the Howard Stern Film Festival, and suggested making a
Fartman movie. We both wrote the script. Joe played Fartman and I
directed and edited. We cast friends we knew from working in theater
and started hiring crew, finding props and costumes, and rehearsing
with the actors,. We shot for two days and then had a few weeks for
post-production.

> It's pretty scatalogical which is right up my alley but some might
feel different. How has the project been recieved so far?
We've had great responses to the film. We've been hearing from a lot of
people through our website (www.fartmanmovie.com) and through myspace
who have told us how much they enjoyed the film.

> I understand there has been some issues over using some SAG actors and
a certain film festival. Want to tell us a little about that?
About two days before we were supposed to submit the film, we noticed
that there was a rule which said you couldn't use SAG actors. Joe is in
SAG as were a lot of our actors. We went ahead and submitted the film
anyway. In Demand called us to let us know we were potential finalists.
But then when we admitted that we had union members, we were
disqualified. However, In Demand's producers loved the movie. They said
it was one of their favorites. They put it up on Howard Stern's In
Demand channel, Howard TV.

> The project strikes me as a perfect comedy sketch for TV. Any plans to
go into television?
If someone wants to hire us, we'd be glad to work in television.
Actually, when Howard Stern first announced he was thinking of doing
the film festival, we wrote a much longer script. A week later he
announced that the films could only be five minutes long so we had to
cut a considerable amount of characters and story line. We'd love it if
he hired us to make more Fartman stories for Howard TV so we could
bring back those characters.

> Do you exclusively work in the comedy genre?
Not exclusively, but a lot of my writing does end up veering towards
comedy. When I choose to write about a serious topic, I usually end up
poking fun of it. I think I spent way too much time as a kid alone in
my room watching Monty Python.

> How do you feel about living in Los Angeles?
I love that I live in a city where every day people are writing
screenplays, shooting films and rehearsing plays. There's always
something I can do to further my career.
> What's up next forGold Cap? Any projects in development?

We're currently submitting "Never Say Macbeth" to several film
festivals. You can check out a trailer at www.neversaymacbeth.com. We
also have a couple of projects in development. We are starting to raise
financing for a comedy that Joe wrote about seniors and gambling. The
other, written by myself, is a coming of age comedy.
> Thanks for answering our questions. HIT wishes Goldcap Films the best
of luck in the future.

I propose not to hold back until you get enough amount of money to buy all you need! You should take the <a href="http://bestfinance-blog.com/topics/home-loans">home loans</a> or just collateral loan and feel fine
