As some folks say that other folks should not win the lottery and go insane, Mr. Hoffman echoes similar thoughts:

It really was just that.EHe also realizes that getting sober before he got famous was a blessing. It makes him look at today's young acting stars in a concerned way."
Speaking from a dark self-knowledge, I know exactly where he is coming from. The concern? Well, you gotta let them be. A mountain is a mountain and a river is a river,' you may run away but... Too much, too fast...sigh. Take away the credit cards, only give'em a fiver and an ID, and they just might live through stardom..or at least last call. (Via Defamer)
