25 Movies That Choke Men Up
2007-Oct-2 by Laughcalvin
What movies have made men cry? CTV.ca has a list. The scene between Robert DiNero's slave trader and the Brazilian Indians as he is forgiven for his crimes in The Mission comes to mind. How about you? What movies have choked you up? Not the Usual Suspects like E.T. or Old Yeller but ones that might not readily come to mind.
Showgirls maybe?

call me a bit of a softie, but the scene at the end of wrestoling ernest hemingway where duvall's character finds his friend dead in a chair, but goes on dressing him as if they are still going out - it was brilliant underplaying by duvall and just floored me. also, the end of remains of the day when hopkins in standing in the rain as emma thompsons character is being driven away. ahh, the unexpressed feelings, you want him to express his love for her. very sad.

just looking at that still from the scene in "dead poets" where the boys stand on their deskd to salute mr. keating made me misty.
but the final scene in "glory" when you know that certain destruction will meet the lads shortly, yet they band together as brothers- that's a tearjerkin moment
