Since Rushmore-maybe excepting the bump of The Royal Tannenbaums- Anderson's work has been rolling decidely downhill. I have no paticular beef with corporate gigs per se, but it just does not smell right when one's own creative work is in a rut. I have not seen The Darjeeling Ltd. yet but I did read the shooting script and it promises...more of the same: namely, JD Salinger crossed with Peanuts. Here is a clip of his hipster ad for AT&T.
