A new film explores the last 48 hours of Jesus' life before his capture at Gethsemane. Nothing new here since Mel's S&M Take on History except the fact that in this film JC is played by an African-American. Hmmm..Jesus could very well have been Black; at the very least, a dark-skinned Semitic. Very provocative premise, esp. for our Esteemed Red-Staters. Do you think the pictures of the Anglican Hippy-esque Christ that hang in churches from Shelbyville to Antioch will be taken down and and replaced with one of a cross between Samauel Jackson and Jesse Jackson posing as the Savior? Regardless, the film looks quiet good.

Maybe it wasn't Jesus, but whoever the character that Chris Rock played (was it Chris Rock? i think so, Dogma was a while back, only saw it once).
Either way, the "non-traditional" casting is interesting.

I think he played God but I'm not sure. I hope the film does well. They are plugging it in the South folks tell me, which will defintely get people thinking. Hope the editing is going well on DNO.
