As folks around the world are aware Hollywood is not the only place where movies and films make it.

ConvergeSouth began in 2005 as a blogging convention but never did the bloggers who made Converge a reality want to limit their convention to blogging alone. Bloggers love art, music and video as much as anyone. Besides being the blogging capital of the world according to the Los Angeles Times who dubbed our city Blogsboro in 2004, Greensboro, North Carolina is also a hub of indie filmmaking and this year ConvergeSouth and Blogsboro welcome the submissions of indie filmmakers as an "opportunity for marketing their films to domestic and international distributors."

It just might be it's time to head east.
