Can't say I disagree with Rogers' lambasting of Abuzzo.
Abuzzo sees the films nominated for Best Picture as trivial? Films that encompass such topics as the struggle for oil, sexual harrassment, THE political witch hunt of our time, and manly men coming to terms with homosexuality are trivial?
Yet, he wonders why Episode III didn't get any recognition? A film that wouldn't exist without CGI, a 4 saber wielding robot with a human heart who inexplicably has a cold, and with exchanges like:
Anakin Skywalker: You are so... beautiful.
Senator Amidala: It's only because I'm so in love.
Anakin Skywalker: No, it's because I'm so in love with you.
Senator Amidala: So love has blinded you?
Anakin Skywalker: [laughs] Well, that's not exactly what I meant.
Senator Amidala: But it's probably true.
??????
Now which of these is trivial? The guy's a lunatic.
