One of the advantages of having a taxman who caters to the B -level entetainment crowd is that there is a good chance that even though your 'appointment' is a 4 pm, you will probally be around watching the Oscars and eating BBQ pizza in his lobby with 4 people still ahead of you.

Such was the case again.

- I was not surprized at all by the winners. Al Gore was a highlight. If only he...Ellen was a laid-back hostess, occasionally funny but not cynical which is probally good.

- Eddie Murphy was shut-out which goes to show that self-promotion is not something to be sniffed at.

- The short nostalgia spots felt flat except the one from Michael Mann, even the one about those who have passed.

- Morricone more than deserved his tribute as did Alan Arkin in my opinion.
