Robert Bresson's Notes on Cinematography

2006-Nov-22 by Laughcalvin

I have been remiss in late in relaying the great French Filmmaker's words of wisdom to you  and for that I apologize. Let's get right back to it with not one but two:

"The persons and objects in your film must walk at the same pace, as companions."

"Your film will have the beauty, or the sadness, or what have you, that one finds in a town, in a countryside, in a house, and not in the beauty, sadness, etc. that one finds in the photograph of a town, a countryside, or a house."
